With the sports world shutting down on Thursday (other than football and college sports) due to Thanksgiving, the NBA had a rare off day. But they are back on the colorful courts on Friday for a slate of in-season tournament games. I’m zeroing in on a couple of them for my NBA picks for November 24th.

NBA Picks November 24th
Phoenix Suns vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Tipoff – 5:00 pm EST
Spread: Suns -7.0
Total: 223.5
Their ‘Big 3’ have yet to appear on the court in the same game this season, but regardless, the Phoenix Suns are starting to put things together. Winners of five straight, they need to win this game in Memphis to stay alive in the in-season tournament. Luckily for them, the Memphis Grizzlies are really, really bad. Not only are the Suns going to win, but they’re going to cover the spread, and the teams are going to go over 223.5 points.
Best Bet: Suns -1.0 (-110), Suns/Grizzlies Over 223.5 (-110)
Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets
Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Nuggets -3.0
Total: 216
The Denver Nuggets are struggling with Jamal Murray on the sidelines, as the defending champions have only won two of their last five games. But only giving up three points to the Rockets seems too low for me. Houston is definitely turning some heads with their play this season, but the Nuggets are the superior team, even without Murray. I do like the Under as well, as Houston has a very solid defense this season.
Best Bet: Nuggets -3.0 (-110), Nuggets/Rockets Under 216 (-110)
