NBA Picks November 22, 2023
Toronto Raptors vs. Indiana Pacers
Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST

The Indiana Pacers are coming off a barn burner of a game on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks, where they were 309 points scored. Thus far this season, the Pacers are the best offensive-efficient team in the NBA and are playing at the fastest pace in the NBA. More importantly, the Pacers are rated as the second-worst defensive in the league.
The Pacers will welcome the Toronto Raptors to their building in a game where both teams played last night. The Raptors suffered a blowout loss to the Orlando Magic in a game where no starter played more than 30 minutes. I am expecting the Raptors to find success on the offensive side in this game. Since last season, in back-to-back situations, the Pacers have allowed their opponents to average close to 122 points per game. I expect the Raptors offense to find success tonight against this Pacers defense.
Best Bet: Raptors TT Over 117.5
Denver Nuggets vs. Orlando Magic

Spread: Nuggets -4

If you haven’t been listening to the NBA Gambling Podcast and paying attention to the NBA at all, the Magic are 13-1 SU and 13-1 ATS in the first half of their games this season. I’ll take this a step further tonight and look at the splits for the 2nd quarter between these two teams.
First, the former regular season MVP and Finals MVP Nikola Jokic plays the entire first quarter for the Nuggets. When Jokic is off the floor, the offensive rating for the Nuggets falls. More importantly, the Nuggets have the worst defensive rating in the 2nd quarter this season. Additionally, the Orlando Magic possess the best offensive rating in the 2nd quarter. I am going to back the Magic in the 2nd quarter tonight against the Nuggets.
Best Bet: Magic 2Q +1 and 2Q ML +115
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Timberwolves -5
Total: 220.5
The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off an overtime loss on Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where the starters played HEAVY minutes. In fact, Joel Embiid played 41 minutes, Maxey played 47 minutes, and Harris played 43 minutes. Additionally, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been a cash cow at home.
In fact, the Timberwolves are 6-0 SU and 6-0 ATS. Further, the Wolves have won five of the six games at home by at least 16 points. I believe this is a good spot here for the Timberwolves.
Best Bet: Wolves -5
