The NBA action resumes on Wednesday night after a day off in the association on Tuesday. Each team has played at least six games in the regular season, and we are slowly accumulating data and trends for each team. The Wednesday schedule features a few intriguing matchups for the night. Below are my NBA Picks for the November 8th games!

NBA Picks November 8th
Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets
Tipoff – 7:00 pm EST
Spread: Hornets -4.5
Total: 240.5
Thus far this season, both these teams rank in the bottom four in defensive rating. Additionally, both teams are in the top four in pace. Furthermore, in the Wizards’ four road games this season, they are allowing 135 points per game and are a perfect 4-0 to the Over.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are allowing 121.7 points per game and 118 points per game at home. I expect this game to be a track meet and defense to be optional. I see plenty of points being scored. Lastly, both teams are combined 9-3 to the Over, where the Wizards games are averaging 245.7 points per game, and the Hornets games are averaging 238 points per game.
Best Bet: Wizards/Hornets Over 240.5
San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks
Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Knicks -9.5
Total: 224.5
All eyes will be on Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night as Victor Wenbanyama and the Spurs face the New York Knicks. Despite how well Wenbanyama has been playing, the Spurs team’s defense has been one of the worst in the league.
The Spurs’ defensive rating ranks #29 thus far and are allowing 125.9 points per game and a whopping 123.7 points per game on the road, including 152 to the Pacers on Monday night in regulation. In fact, in three of the four road games, the Spurs have allowed at least 120 points.
Lastly, Spurs are 6-1 to the Over and 3-1 to the Over in their road games. Despite the Knicks struggling on offense so far this season, facing the Spurs’ defense may be the cure to the offensive woes. Expect the Knicks to score early and often in this game. Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls
Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Bulls -1.5
Total: 223
I am simply fading the Chicago Bulls in this spot against the Phoenix Suns. I have not been overly impressed with the Chicago Bulls. This is the same team that called a players-only meeting after their first game of the regular season. Since then, the Bulls beat the Raptors by one point, the Pacers, one of the worst defensive teams, and the Jazz, who are a terrible road team this season.
Despite the Suns possibly not having Beal and/or Booker, Durant is a matchup nightmare for the Bulls. Yes, I know. The Spurs beat the Suns two games in a row rather-handedly. However, the Suns are the more desperate team here and are looking to close out this road trip with a win.
