Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – November 1
Chet Holmgren – Higher than 13.5 Points
In his first game of the year, Holmgren shot only seven field goals and only three deep balls. He ended the game with just 11 points. Since then, he’s seen a steady uptick in the amount of shots he’s gotten with the exception of Monday night. However, even with the less shots on Monday, he drilled four three-pointers and went for over on this projection. The Pelicans gave up 130 points last game and I like Holmgren to get in on some of that.
Domantas Sabonis – Higher than 12.5 Rebounds
Sabonis is currently averaging 15.0 rebound games this year. I know that the sample size is small, but that is well above the projection that we see here. He’s gone for 18 and 15 over the last two games respectively. Even if you think that’s a fluke, he’s basically averaged this projection for each of the past five seasons.
If that’s not enough to love the projection here, you can include that the Warriors are in the bottom half of the league in rebounds allowed. Their opponents are pulling down 54.8 rebounds a game, which is comparable to what they were giving up last year as well.
Jayson Tatum – Lower than 0.5 Double-Doubles
Last season Jayson Tatum had 31 double-doubles that included rebounds as the secondary category. However, apart from scrapping together 11 boards in the first game, he hasn’t really come close. I think we can attribute some of that to Kristaps Porzingis and his ability to get on the glass for the Celtics. I don’t think that changes against the Pacers.
