Underdog Fantasy Daily Pick’Em Entry – October 19
Bryce Harper – Higher than 0.5 Runs
He’s scored three runs already in this series and six runs over his last five games. When the middle of the order guys like Bryson Stott and JT Realmuto are collecting hits and RBIs like it’s their job – then it isn’t hard to score runs. Not to mention, Harper has been swinging well enough to score himself. With the favorable pitching matchup against Brandon Pfaadt, he should have no issues.
Johan Rojas – Lower than 0.5 Singles
While the Phillies have looked possessed at the plate, Johan Rojas has been left out of that equation. Since the playoffs started, he’s got just two hits in 29 at-bats (good for a .069 batting average). One of those hits is a double two, which makes this projection on singles just look impossible.
Pair that together with a right-handed pitcher on the mound, and it spells disaster for Rojas. He hit 52 points lower in batting average against righties during the regular season.
Tommy Pham – Lower than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI
Tommy Pham got off to a great start this post-season. In the first four games, he tallied seven hits and scored six runs. Since then, it’s been an absolute power outage for Pham. He’s gone 0-for-12 at the plate in the last three games. To make matters worse, he hasn’t even reached base in any of those games. This pitching matchup should make things a little easier, but not enough for me to expect a complete turnaround for him at this point.
