2023/24 Fantasy Basketball Forward Rankings

1 Jayson Tatum (BOS – SF,PF)
2 Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL – PF,C)
3 Kevin Durant (PHO – SF,PF)
4 Devin Booker (PHO – SF,SG)

Jayson Tatum is the consensus #1 forward off the board in fantasy basketball drafts. Still in his prime, gradually improving every year, he’s edged ahead of proven stat-stuffing veterans Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant. Devin Booker appears near the top of both our guard (#8) and forward lists (sorry, Devin – you’re not making the top center rankings).

5 Jaren Jackson Jr. (MEM – PF,C)
6 Anthony Davis (LAL – PF,C)
7 Jimmy Butler (MIA – PF,SF)
8 Kawhi Leonard (LAC – SF,SG)
9 Domantas Sabonis (SAC – PF,C)
10 Anthony Edwards (MIN – SG,SF)
11 Lauri Markkanen (UTH – PF,SF)
12 LeBron James (LAL – PF,SF)
13 Desmond Bane (MEM – SF,SG)
14 Mikal Bridges (BKN – SG,SF)
15 Pascal Siakam (TOR – PF,C)

If fouls count in your league, JJJ drops in the rankings. Otherwise, he’s another guy just entering his prime that helps you across the board. And who would think we’d see the day that Lauri Markkanen would be ranked ahead of LeBron James?! Strange times.

16 Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN – C,PF)
17 Paul George (LAC – SF,PF,SG)
18 Victor Wembanyama (SAS – C,PF)
19 Evan Mobley (CLE – C,PF)
20 Jaylen Brown (BOS – SG,SF)
21 Kristaps Porzingis (BOS – PF,C)
22 Zion Williamson (NOR – C,PF)
23 Julius Randle (NYK – PF)
24 Chet Holmgren (OKC – C,PF)
25 Zach LaVine (CHI – SG,SF)
26 Brandon Ingram (NOR – PF,SF,SG)
27 Scottie Barnes (TOR – SF,PF)
28 Franz Wagner (ORL – PF,SF,SG)
29 Cameron Johnson (BKN – SF,PF)
30 Khris Middleton (MIL – PF,SF)
31 O.G. Anunoby (TOR – SF,SG)
32 Jerami Grant (POR – PF)

Victor Wembanyama’s #18 ranking is probably correct, but will he really last until the fourth round in your draft? There’s so much potential there. I bet someone grabs him earlier. Zion Williamson could be a steal as the 22nd forward if this is the year he stays healthy. Chances are, it won’t be, hence his #22 ranking.

33 Jalen Williams (OKC – PF,SF,SG)
34 Paolo Banchero (ORL – PF,SF)
35 Kyle Kuzma (WAS – SF,PF)
36 Tobias Harris (PHI – SF,PF)
37 Michael Porter Jr. (DEN – SF)
38 Klay Thompson (GSW – SG,SF)
39 Miles Bridges (CHA – SF,PF) OUT
40 John Collins (UTH – PF)
41 Daniel Gafford (WAS – C,PF)
42 Andrew Wiggins (GSW – PF,SF)
43 Josh Giddey (OKC – PF,PG,SF,SG)
44 Devin Vassell (SAS – SG,SF)
45 Jabari Smith Jr. (HOU – C,PF)
46 Buddy Hield (IND – SG,SF)
47 Keegan Murray (SAC – PF,SF)
48 Draymond Green (GSW – PF,C)
49 Jaden McDaniels (MIN – PF,SF)
50 Herbert Jones (NOR – PF,SF)
51 Josh Hart (NYK – SG,SF)
52 Austin Reaves (LAL – SF,SG)
53 Aaron Gordon (DEN – PF)

Plenty of potential with Paolo Banchero, especially in the sixth round, where he’s currently projected to go. If he could bring some defensive stats, it would be even better. Austin Reaves is a top 50(ish) fantasy forward?! Austin Reaves is a top 50(ish) fantasy forward.

54 Bojan Bogdanovic (DET – PF,SF,SG)
55 Bobby Portis Jr. (MIL – PF,C)
56 Obi Toppin (IND – PF)
57 P.J. Washington (CHA – PF)
58 Zach Collins (SAS – PF,C)
59 Patrick Williams (CHI – PF)
60 Al Horford (BOS – PF,C)
61 Ben Simmons (BKN – PF,PG,SG)
62 Kyle Anderson (MIN – SF,PF)
63 Bruce Brown Jr. (IND – PG,SF,SG)
64 Tari Eason (HOU – PF,SF)
65 Trey Murphy III (NOR – SF,PF
66 Shaedon Sharpe (POR – SF,SG)
67 Harrison Barnes (SAC – SF,PF)
68 Saddiq Bey (ATL – PF,SF)
69 Kevin Huerter (SAC – SG,SF)
70 Deni Avdija (WAS – PF,SF)
71 Keldon Johnson (SAS – SF,SG)
72 Norman Powell (LAC – SG,SF)
73 RJ Barrett (NYK – SG,SF)
74 Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DEN – SG,SF)
75 Jarred Vanderbilt (LAL – PF)
76 Matisse Thybulle (POR – SG,SF)
77 Bogdan Bogdanovic (ATL – PF,SF,SG)
78 Gordon Hayward (CHA – SF)
79 Paul Reed (PHI – PF,C)

Later in the draft, I like to go with players with upside rather than proven commodities. In that vein, I like Houston’s Tari Eason – he doesn’t need a lot of minutes – or shots – to bring value to your fantasy basketball team.
