Best Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups: Week of Nov 27th
Kyle Lowry – Miami – PG – 41% Rostered
(8.6 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 4.4 APG, 1.4 SPG, 0.2 BPG, 2.1 3PTs)
The old dog still has some bite left in him. Despite being 37, Kyle Lowry still brings plenty of value to your fantasy basketball team in every category outside of points and blocks. The rebounds, assists, and steals are the ones that really stand out and have propelled Lowry up to the 61st-ranked player in fantasy basketball this season. And, occasionally, he’ll have a scoring outburst, like his 28-point, seven-three-pointer game he had last week.
Dario Saric – Golden State – PF/C – 30% Rostered
(10.8 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 2.2 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 1.6 3PTs)
Dario Saric made sure that the Golden State Warriors didn’t miss Draymond Green too much while he served his suspension. Now, with Green set to return to the court, Saric should still be in line for considerable minutes as he was trending that way before Green sunk in his rear-naked choke on Rudy Gobert. Over the past week (three games), Saric averaged 18.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.7 spg, and three three-pointers per contest. That’ll get you playing time.
Eric Gordon – Phoenix – SG/SF – 48% Rostered
(14.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 2.7 3PTs)
Eric Gordon is another player who is making sure his team doesn’t suffer too much while stars are on the sidelines. Whether it be Bradley Beal or Devin Booker, Gordon has been eating up their minutes – and shots. Playing over 30 minutes a night, the 35-year-old brings you points, threes, and steals, with a very solid 45/38/83 shooting line. He’s had two 20-point games over the last week.
Jaime Jaquez Jr – Miami – SF – 42% Rostered
(11.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.2 BPG, 1.3 3PTs)
Rookie wing Jaime Jaquez Jr has made the Miami Heat look wise to have chosen him with the #18 pick in this past June’s draft, as he’s having a great rookie season. And he seems to be getting better as he gets more NBA experience under his belt. He’s scored 15 or more points in four straight games, a stretch that saw him put up averages of 18.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.3 spg, and hit 10 three-pointers.
Obi Toppin – Indiana – PF – 42% Rostered
(12.0 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.1 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 0.9 3PTs)
Obi Toppin saved the best season of his career for his first year in an Indiana Pacers uniform. The former New York Knick is posting career-best numbers across the board and brings you scoring (while shooting over 60% from the field) and some rebounds. But it’s mostly the scoring and the high efficiency that you’re picking him up for.
Kelly Olynyk – Utah – PF/C – 32% Rostered
(8.0 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.9 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 0.8 3PTs)
Every fantasy basketball player is always in the market for a quality center, and Kelly Olynyk is just that. He does not score many points, but he brings the boards, lots of assists for a big man, and high shooting percentages (58/42/86). Over the past week (four games), he had 25 boards and 18 assists – a pretty unique (and valuable) combination.
