NBA Play-In Player Prop Bets – Wednesday, April 12
DeMar DeRozan Under 0.5 3PT Made.
Strictly playing the number here, I will play DeRozen to not hit a single three-pointer at +130. DeMar is not known for his three-point hitting ability. However, everyone knows DeMar is a midrange king, so to get plus money on this prop is hard to pass up.
DeMar faced the Raptors three times this season and didn’t hit a single three-pointer in every game. DeMar hasn’t hit a three-pointer in the playoffs since April 2018 (12-game stretch). I don’t expect DeRozan to be chucking up threes tonight; he needs to play his game. Let’s continue to ride the hot hand, DeMar DeRozan, under 0.5 3pt made.
Luguentz Dort Under 1.5 3PT Made.
Right back to the three-point market, we go. I’ll take another stab at Dort to go under 1.5 3PT made at +130. New Orleans is one of the best teams in the league guarding the arch, so that Dort might be in for a long night.
Dort is only shooting 33% from downtown on the season, and unfortunately, through Dort’s last ten games, he’s posted averages of 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 threes per game on 31.4% from the field and 23.6% from deep. He has only made two threes in 13 attempts during the regular season against the Pelicans.
Dort has gone under this number in seven of his last ten games while also failing to cover this number 40 times this season. I expect Dort to struggle from the arch in this game, especially against the Pelicans, who hold their opponents to just 33.9% from deep (1st in the NBA).
