NBA Player Prop Best Bets – Wednesday, March 29

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 18.5 Points

This is a big game for Minnesota, with playoff-seeding implications on the line. I expect KAT to play at least 32 minutes tonight if he can stay out of foul trouble. He is coming off the injury that sidelined him for a few months.

In the last two games since returning, he’s played 26 and 32 minutes for the Timberwolves. KAT needs to play a heavy load of minutes tonight to try and get the Timberwolves in a favorable position to make the playoffs. While playing 28+ minutes, KAT has gone over this number in 15 of 19 games averaging 22.0 PPG. KAT also has a 29.6% USG in the last two games.

With Ayton and Gobert guarding each other, KAT will have the size advantage against whoever they put out there. KAT has scored 18+ in three of his last five games against the Suns, averaging 21.6 PPG. The Suns are allowing the ninth most points in the paint over the last seven days. I think KAT has a big game tonight.

Domantas Sabonis Over 3.5 1Q Rebounds

Instead of attacking Sabonis’s full game line, let’s get in and get out with this bet. Sabonis has gone over this number in 44 of 73 games this season (60%), including going over the last seven of ten games. Last time out against Portland, Sabonis was able to rack up five rebounds in the 1st quarter.

The last two centers to go up against Portland without Dame have all exceeded this number. Vucevic had four rebounds in the first quarter in just five minutes, and Drummond also had four rebounds in the first quarter. Sabonis is averaging 10.4 minutes in the 1st quarter in the last ten games, so he definitely has enough time to grab four rebounds.

In the last seven games, Portland allows the second most rebounds to centers. Sabonis has consistently cleared this line of three rebounds in the first quarter. So let’s stick with the first quarter prop instead of the entire game, with blowout potential written all over this game.

Cameron Johnson Over 1.5 Assists

Another big game for the Nets that have playoff implications on the line. The Nets need this game after dropping four of their last five games. The Rockets are coming into town losers of five straight games.

Besides Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson was another big piece that came over in the Kevin Durant trade. Johnson’s assist prop is sitting at 1.5, and he’s been an over machine since coming to Brooklyn.

Johnson is averaging 1.7 assists on the season, but the number goes up to 2.2 assists when you look at his last ten games. Johnson has gone over the line in seven of his last ten games, including three assists last game against the Rockets. Houston allows the 23rd most assists in the league, so there will be plenty of opportunities for Johnson to get two assists tonight.

Zach LaVine Over 30.5 Points + Assists

I’m going back to the well with my guy Zach LaVine in this one. The Bulls look to make it back-to-back wins against the Lakers. The Lakers will probably start Russell over Schroder, which is excellent for us. Russell is terrible defensively, and LaVine lit up Austin Reaves’s last game.

Vanderbilt will likely guard DeMar DeRozan, and AD will probably be on Vucevic, so having a lousy defender like Russell on LaVine is excellent for us. Zach has gone over this line in ten of his last 13 games. He’s also coming off two games with subpar assist conversions. But opportunities have been there, and now, with Russell guarding him tonight, I think we see another big game from LaVine.
