NBA Same Game Parlays – Wednesday, March 22
New York Knicks @ Miami Heat
Jalen Brunson Over 5.5 Assists
This is a simple fade of the Miami Heat defense. Since the All-Star Break, the Miami Heat are allowing the most assists to their opponents at 30.8 per game. Furthermore, over the last two weeks of the season, the Heat allow 9.7 assists per game to the point guard position. Additionally, in a matchup earlier this season against the Heat, Brunson dished out eight assists.
Jimmy Butler Over 1.5 Steals
We know that Jimmy Butler is one of the best two-way players in the entire league and prides himself on the defensive end. On the season, Butler is averaging 1.9 steals per game. However, against the New York Knicks, Butler has recorded two or more steals in four out of the last five games against the Heat. Additionally, Butler recorded at least two steals in both matchups this season against the Knicks.
Knicks +2.5
This is a spot where I am backing the New York Knicks in Miami tonight. First, the Knicks are one of the best teams against the spread on the road. In fact, the Knicks are 24-12 (66.7%) against the spread on the road and 16-10 (61.5%) against the spread as road underdogs.
Furthermore, Joe Osbourne of VegasInsider gives a great stat that the Heat have gone 32 games without covering in consecutive games! Additionally, the Heat have not been great at covering spreads at home, where they are just 11-24-2 (32.4%) and 9-22-2 (30.3%) as a home favorite! So I feel good about this NBA Same Game Parlay!
Philadelphia Sixers @ Chicago Bulls
Joel Embiid 30+ Points
Do I need a handicap for this leg of the parlay? Joel Embiid has been a monster this season, to say the least, and is the odds-on favorite to win the MVP for the regular season. On the season, Embiid is averaging 33.6 points per game and has been even better over the last five games averaging 35.2. In fact, Embiid scored 30+ against the Bulls in four of the previous five career games. Additionally, Embiid scored 37 points in a matchup earlier this week against the Bulls.
Nikola Vucevic 12+ Rebounds
Nikola Vucevic has been a monster rebounding the basketball throughout his career. On the season, Vucevic is averaging 11.3 rebounds per game but has succeeded against the Sixers. In three games this season against the Sixers, Vucevic has grabbed 12, 18, and 19 rebounds.
Zach LaVine 2+ Three-Pointers
Zach LaVine has plenty of success scoring the basketball against the Sixers. In fact, Lavine has scored 20+ in 15 straight career games against the Sixers. The scoring has been propelled by the pure shot volume from beyond the arc. Lavine has made 2+ three-pointers in 12 out of the last 14 career games against the Sixers. With the game in Chicago tonight, where Lavine shoots the three-point shot at 39.3%, I believe he makes at least two tonight!
Sixers -3.5
The Sixers are coming off a loss against the Bulls in a double overtime game on Monday night. They play the Bulls tonight in Chicago, looking to avenge that loss. James Harden had a rough night on Monday, scoring only 5 points on 2-14 shooting. The Sixers are 12-8 (60%) against the spread as road favorites. Lastly, I believe this is the game where the tired legs of the Bulls show up since they have played two double-overtime games in their last four games. I love this NBA Same Game Parlay!
Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers
Devin Booker 30+ Points
We know that Kevin Durant is out with an ankle injury, leaving a significant void in scoring the basketball. Devin Booker, when healthy, is one of the best scorers in the entire league. On the season, Booker is averaging 28 points per game this season, but he has been even better over the last five games. Booker is averaging 31 points per game over the previous five games and has gone over this projection in three of the last five games. I expect a big night from Booker scoring the basketball.
Anthony Davis 30+ Points & 15+ Rebounds
Anthony Davis has been an absolute monster in the absence of LeBron James on the floor this season! Davis is averaging 27 points and 14.4 rebounds per contest. However, the Suns will be without Deandre Ayton tonight, which leaves a significant void in the frontcourt to guard Davis. In an earlier matchup this season against the Suns, Anthony Davis went off for 37 points and 21 rebounds. Every game matters for the Lakers if they want to make the playoffs. I expect a max effort from Davis tonight.
D’Angelo Russell 3+ Three-Pointers
The area of concern before the trade deadline this season for the Lakers was three-point shooting. The Lakers addressed that concern by trading for D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley. D’Angelo Russell has been shooting 38.6% from the three-point line and has knocked down three or more three-pointers in five out of the last six games.
Austin Reaves 12+ Points
Austin Reaves has been on fire over the last couple of weeks for the Lakers and has provided great scoring off the bench for the Lakers. During the previous five games, Reaves is averaging 20.4 points and has gone over this projection in all but one game in the month of March. Reaves is coming off a career-high 35 points against the Magic, and I expect him to continue scoring tonight. I feel great about this NBA Same Game Parlay for tonight!
