NBA Player Prop Best Bets – Wednesday, March 8th

Jayson Tatum Over 2.5 Turnovers

If you haven’t been reading my articles, we have cashed the over for Jayson Tatum’s turnovers for weeks. There’s no doubt Tatum is one of the best players in the league, but when you have the ball in your hands as much as he does, you’re bound to turn the ball over.

On the year, Tatum averages three turnovers per game. In the last ten games, Tatum has gone over this number nine times. The only game he didn’t go over was his last game against the Knicks, where he recorded only two turnovers. However, Portland is a different team; they average 6.5 steals per game and can make life hard for the Celtics.

Tatum and the Celtics have been struggling as a team these past few games, both offensively and defensively. As for the Trail Blazers, collectively, they have averaged eight steals per game in their last five games. I think tonight we start the streak back up. Going over 2.5 turnovers for Jayson Tatum.

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points

Donovan Mitchell has been in his bag as of late. He’s top ten in the league for points per game with 27.6. In his last ten games, he’s averaging 31.6 points per game, and in that ten-game span, he’s racked up three 40-point games.

Now, in the two games Mitchell has played against the Heat, he didn’t go over this number. The Cavs were blowing the Heat out the first time, and Mitchell had a bad night shooting the ball the second time. So I think this third time around will be a little different.

It might be a tougher matchup for him, but the way he’s been balling, I find it hard that he continues to struggle. The Heat are middle of the pack in regard to their team defense. Mitchell has gone over this number seven of his last ten games. I think he continues to roll. Give me over 26.5 points for Donovan Mitchell.

Devin Booker Over 5.5 Assists

One player on the Suns that has benefited the most since the Kevin Durant trade has been Devin Booker. Booker will now get the opponent’s second or third-best defender freeing him up to shoot and facilitate more.

Booker is averaging 5.8 assists per game on the season and has really picked it up since the All-Star break. In his last ten games, Booker has gone over this number seven times, including six straight. One of those six games was against this Thunder team, where he recorded eight assists on the night.

SGA and Jalen Williams both appear to be out for the Thunder tonight, so even less defense will be played by them. I think Booker will have another dominant night against this Thunder team. Let’s make it seven games in a row, going over 5.5 assists for Devin Booker.

Jamal Murray Over 2.5 3pt M

Jamal Murray is having a solid year for the number one seed in the West, Denver Nuggets. A lot of what Murray is doing has been lost because of the numbers Nikola Jokic has been putting up. Jokic will most likely win his third straight league MVP at the end of the year but don’t sleep on Murray.

Murray is averaging 20.3 points per game and has really shot the three-ball well. He’s gone over 2.5 made threes in eight of his last ten games, including four straight. Jokic has a tough matchup against Vucevic, so Murray will have to step up and drain some threes.

The Nuggets are one of the best teams in the league shooting the three-ball, and if they get hot, it could be a long night for the Bulls. Murray only recorded two made threes last time he faced the Bulls, but that was back in December. With the amount of volume and consistency shooting the ball, I trust Murray to go over his 2.5 three-point made prop.
