Saturday Night NBA Player Props: Nets vs. Warriors
James Harden Over 9.5 Assists
James Harden has taken on the playmaking duties for the Nets since he was acquired by Brooklyn. Since tonight is a road game for the Nets they will have Kyrie Irving available for this game. The scoring responsibility will be less on Harden’s shoulders with Irving playing. I like Harden to get into double assists in the game. Harden has been on a tear distributing the ball for the Nets. In fact, Harden has recorded 10 or more assists in five out of his last six games. Additionally, in the month of January, Harden is averaging 10.8 assists per contest. Furthermore, in seven out of the last eight career games against the Warriors, Harden has recorded at least 10 assists. I love this prop to get over the total!
Klay Thompson Over 2.5 Three-Point Shots Made
It didn’t take Klay Thompson very long to look like his old self again. We can say the Splash Brothers are back! Since January 16th, Thompson has been playing 22 or more minutes for the Warriors. In that span, Thompson has knocked down at least three three-point shots in four of those five games. Furthermore, the Brooklyn Nets’ defense against the shooting guard position is allowing 3.6 threes per game over the last seven days. I expect Thompson to continue to have success tonight from beyond the arc.
Kyrie Irving Points + Assists Over 28.5
As I mentioned above, Kyrie Irving is a part-time player for the Brooklyn Nets, playing only in road games. Irving has been a huge part of the offense, especially in the absence of Kevin Durant. In fact, Irving is averaging 23.4 points and 5.1 assists per game since he returned to the court. Furthermore, Irving has gone over this projection in three out of the last four games. I fully expect Irving and Harden to have the ball in their hands on offense for the Nets and have a big night stuffing the stat sheet.
