Although our time wagering on the AUDL regular season has come to a quick end, the action is only heating up as we roll into the first week of the postseason! Besides two make-up games for the DC Breeze and New York Empire (that will determine playoff seeding in the Atlantic Division), four teams from the other divisions face off to advance to the Championship Weekend. Out in the West, we have the Dallas Roughnecks traveling to San Diego to take on the Growlers. And in the Central Division, the Minnesota Wind Chill are heading to Chicago to take on the favorites to win it all, Chicago Union. Let’s dive right into this week’s best bets.
Dallas Roughnecks vs San Diego Growlers (-1.5)
The Growlers are coming into this game on a five-game winning streak. Their last loss? To the Dallas Roughnecks. Meanwhile, the Roughnecks are sporting their own winning streak of four wins. These two teams couldn’t be more evenly matched, splitting the season series at one game apiece. The Growlers and Roughnecks, respectively, rank 8th and 9th in offensive efficiency, 10th and 9th in turnovers committed, and 10th and 11th in goals per game. This game may come down to who can make the final defensive stop and that’s why I like this game to be a one-goal game.

Minnesota Wind Chill vs Chicago Union (-1.5)
For the Central Division, the Chicago Union with their MVP-leading candidate Pawel Janas. They face off against the Minnesota squad and won the season series over the Wind Chill 2-1. This AUDL game will feature two of the more dominant defenses in the playoffs and league. The edge goes to the Union’s offense, as they have committed the least amount of turnovers per game throughout the season. Thus, I like Chicago to cover. And with these defenses, I like under the total of 39 goals as a bonus lock.

DC Breeze (-3) vs Tampa Bay Cannons
The DC Breeze head to Tampa to make up for a postponed game from Week 11. The Breeze are attempting to seal home-field advantage for next week’s playoff game. They are coming off a daring double-overtime win over Raleigh, including a layout block that saved the game! DC has a lot of swagger in their favor as one of the hottest defenses, giving up only 15.5 goals per game in their last 6. Additionally, the last time they played Tampa they only gave up 10 goals! The spread at -3 seems way too small. Give me DC laying the points.
