The NBA Playoffs are officially kicking off and we have everything you need to bet on day one. Ryan McKee (@TheRyanMcKee) and NBA handicapper Zach Broner (@NBAZachB) pick every game against-the-spread for Monday August 17: Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets (-4.5), Brooklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors (-9.5), Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics (-5.5), and Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Clippers (-6).
Ryan and Zach start by giving our their Lock Dog Tease bets for Monday’s games. They debate how much the Jazz will be influenced by the loss of Mike Conley for at least the first part of the series. Zach is bullish on the Nets getting all those points from the Raptors, while Ryan likes the Clippers to roll over the Mavericks.
After previewing those games, Ryan and Zach give out their favorite series wagers for Round 1. They differ strongly on the Thunder-Rockets matchup, but agree they can’t wait to see some Sun Devil on Sun Devil crime with undrafted rookie Luguentz Dort likely guarding James Harden for this series.
