TBT 24 Team Preview

Guard Play Dominates

Each year, TBT showcases deep guard talent year after year and games are favorable to ball-dominant guards. Shooting like Jordan Crawford and Jordon Crawford, that is right BOTH J-Craws are now in TBT 2020, as well as college standouts like William Buford and Eric Devendorf will dominate statistically.

Do not forget about the point guards either. Almost every team in TBT has a strong player running the point and will depend on them to win games. Aaron Craft, Tyrese Rice, and Pooh Jeter all are running point for some talented and deep squads so look to them to provide sparks to your lineup.

Stars will Shine

In TBT, almost every player is a professional basketball player of one form or another, but not all pros are created equally. This year’s TBT features some big-name stars like Crawford and Jarret Jack are some of the biggest guard names in TBT. If the big-name guards are not your thing, there are plenty of hyper-talented bigs and wings out there as well. Joe Johnson also has huge expectations heading into next weekend. Similarly, talented bigs like Isaiah Austin and Chris McCullough should provide some sparks for their teams. There are plenty of former first-round talents and college stars in TBT so do not just get infatuated with the big names and find value in your contrarian plays.

Beware Deep Squads

Several of the top-seeded teams are scarily deep. Carmen’s Crew, Overseas Elite, and Boeheim’s Army are the top three seeds in the tournament are stacked top to bottom with talent. Boeheim’s Army, for example, has four former first-round picks running with several TBT veterans and established overseas players. With such a stacked roster it will vary game-to-game who you can trust for the Orange Alumni. Malachi Richardson might pour it on one night only for Eric Devendorf to steal the show the next.

Carmen’s Crew is similarly deep top to bottom, but with clearer-cut stars at the top in Aaron Craft and William Buford. Look for Buford and Craft to get some good run and put up strong fantasy numbers.

NBA Odds Pod on TBT

Champs are Super Talented

Overseas Elite also has a crazy deep team and it may be tough for all of that talent to see the court in a meaningful way. With NBA talents like Jack, Johnson, and Crawford, it will be tough for Mr. TBT DJ Kennedy to find the court. Do not put it past him to still be a big part of Overseas Elite’s plans. With such a stacked team it is important to remember there is still only one basketball. It remains to be seen how Iso Joe and Jordan Crawford can work together within the offense.

Find Value on Underdawgs

The Jackson TN Underdawgs are one of the best stories in TBT. As a collection of players representing their hometown, they embody everything that is great about TBT. Last year they lived up to their name and reeled off three wins, including two games where they scored 100+ points. With returning scorers Jaylen Barford (24.0 ppg) and Josh Sain (12.3 ppg) leading the way, the Underdawgs will be a threat to win games. Use Barford and Sain to your advantage in lineups as well.

Be Prepared for Volatility

There will be a ton of opportunities to steal value and pull out big-time wins. In a condensed time-frame, it will be difficult for anyone to get a handle on players, roles, and minutes breakdowns. Roll with what your best instinct is and trust players that you believe in. No matter what, get ready for a ton of fun TBT daily fantasy contests.
