Despite being the first team in the NBA to reach the 50-win mark on the season the Milwaukee Bucks don’t sit atop the odds to win the NBA championship at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com with the second half of the campaign now underway.

The Bucks are the +250 second-favorites on the latest NBA championship odds at sportsbooks, which has them trailing the Los Angeles Lakers (+225) on those betting futures. Milwaukee picked up its 50th victory of the season on Tuesday night, getting past the Toronto Raptors 108-97 as 1-point road underdogs at online betting sites.

That win pushed Milwaukee to 50-8 on the season, putting them eight games up on the Raptors (42-16) in the overall Eastern Conference standings and improving their winning percentage to a lofty .862. LeBron James and the Lakers, meanwhile, are 44-12 on the season, and hold a five-game lead on the Denver Nuggets over in the Western standings.

Los Angeles is coming off a 118-109 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, covering the spread on the NBA odds as 7.5-point favorites to run their winning streak to six.

The Los Angeles Clippers then closely follow the top two favorites at +300 on the latest NBA championship odds, with a gap between them and the next three teams on those betting futures – the Houston Rockets (+1300), Raptors (+1700), and Boston Celtics (+1800). The Celtics are just a game and a half behind Toronto in the overall Eastern standings, while the Rockets are riding a four-game winning streak to sit in fourth place in the Western standings.

The Nuggets join the Philadelphia 76ers at +2000 on the odds to win the 2020 NBA championship, with the Utah Jazz at +2200, the Miami Heat at +2500, and the Dallas Mavericks at +3000. The Indiana Pacers are set at +7000 on the latest futures, with the Portland Trail Blazers at +8000, and the Pelicans rounding out the top half of the list at +9500.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Memphis Grizzlies both continue to hold down playoff positions in the Western Conference, but they’re listed as longshots at +12500 and +30000, respectively, on the updated title odds. The Brooklyn Nets and the Orlando Magic are in top-eight spots in the Eastern Conference, but have title odds of +15000 and +35000 right now.
