Tampa Bay Rays vs Milwaukee Brewers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The 94-win Tampa Bay Rays, the top team in the American League, visit the majors’ top team, the 103-win Milwaukee Brewers, to kick off the 122nd World Series tomorrow night. Since both franchises are barren of World Series championship banners, this will be the first time since 1980 that a first-time champion will be crowned.
And I like the Brew Crew to get one step closer tomorrow night to raising that banner. Milwaukee ace Jacob Misiorowski, who has only pitched 8.1 innings in the postseason and will be starting on 11 days’ rest, will start against surprise starter Nick Martinez on Friday night. Advantage Brewers.
The home field is another big advantage for the Brewers. They hold the best home mark in the league this season (tied with the Rays), and have gone a perfect four-for-four in front of their home fans during this postseason run.
Milwaukee on the moneyline is my best bet for Game 1 of the World Series.
