Our Picks
- Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric): Texas A&M -16.5
- Sean Green (@SeanTGreen): Texas A&M -16.5
- Colby Dant (@thecolbyd): Texas A&M -16.5
All three landed on Texas A&M laying the 16.5.
Colby set the tone on the spot. He figured Kentucky got up for the Alabama game and kept it close, but going down to College Station for an SEC opener is a different ask, and he doesn’t think this Kentucky team is there yet. He was upfront that he didn’t love how A&M looked either, so he sees this as a game where Mike Elko has plenty to prove on tape.
Sean agreed with the read on the situation. He noted Kentucky ran for only 63 yards at home and now has to travel after a physical Alabama team pushed them around, and he trusts the A&M defense in this spot. His bottom line was that the Aggies put up 30 and Kentucky doesn’t get to 14, so he took Texas A&M laying it.
Ryan came around to the same side. He flagged the LSU look-ahead as the one thing that gives him pause, but he believes in Elko and thinks this could be a different Texas A&M team this year with a very high ceiling. Colby added that the Aggies were his preseason pick to win it all and nothing so far has gotten him off them.
