The UFC returns for the latest edition of their Noche UFC series. For the fourth time, they’ll celebrate Mexican Independence Day with an event that has plenty of Latin American appeal. Headlining the card is Jean Silva, who looks to gain momentum towards the top of the division, as he faces late replacement Jose Miguel Delgado. There are tons of bangers on this card and it’s sure to have the crowd on its feet.

Prelim Pick of the Week: Noche UFC
UFC Featherweight Fight: Sean King III vs Jesse Rosas
Start Time: Saturday (9/12) 2:00pm EST (Paramount+)
Two fighters brand new to the promotion step into the cage on Saturday night’s prelims. Sean King III will make his walk to the octagon after previously being linked to Dana White’s Contender Series for week 10. Meanwhile, Jesse Rosas signed on the dotted line for a short notice fight with Miles John, but then pulled out before weigh-ins.
Rosas is a tough out for anyone. He brings a combination of pace on the feet and sharp submission skills that have most opponents backing up for the bulk of the fight. However, one knock on Rosas is that he has trouble staying active. His Tapology page is littered with cancelled bouts and he’s fought just twice in the last two years (against less than top competition).
You can’t knock King in that same way. He’s fought his entire professional career in those same two years and has racked up six wins in the process. While he’s known for his ability to snipe from range, he comes from a high school wrestling background and has slammed more than a couple of opponents in his early fights.
With the ability to keep his feet against Rosas, I think King will choose to turn this into a striking battle. Being that he has the reps and the range, he should be able to pick Rosas apart.
