This weekend brings us the fourth incarnation of Noche UFC, the promotion’s event celebrating Mexican Independence Day. While the days of this event being a card packed with title fights appear to be over, Saturday’s main event should at least deliver some fireworks. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: Noche UFC, I’ve got your winner for Saturday’s featherweight main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: Noche UFC 4
Noche UFC: Silva vs Delgado
Main Card Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
Brazilian featherweight contender Jean Silva makes a return appearance to a Noche UFC main event after getting knocked out by fellow Brazilian Diego Lopes on last year’s card. This year, Silva is facing a fighter making his first UFC main event appearance -Jose Miguel Delgado – after original opponent Yair Rodriguez pulled out with an injury.
Being thrust into a big spot for the first time, and on a truncated training camp, doesn’t bode well for Delgado. Nor does the big step-up in competition that Silva poses. I’ll side with the more experienced ‘Lord Silva’ and his scary power to win a slugfest this weekend.
