Football Pick of the Day (September 6th): NCAA Spread Pick
Wisconsin Badgers vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish
7:30pm – Sunday – September 6th
The Sunday evening contest features a heavily touted Notre Dame squad that is poised to make noise in the national championship conversation, and a Wisconsin team that is not. However, the spread seems to be overplaying just how much better the Irish are in this one.
Wisconsin, despite not being ranked, pulled in a solid transfer class. Their pull had them ranked in the top 15 in the portal amongst most pundits and included some big moves at the skill positions. The headliner of their class has to be Old Dominion QB transfer Colton Joseph. Joseph threw for over 2,600 yards last season and went from a 0-star recruit to a serious starter with high-end potential. When you add Abu Sama III coming over from Iowa St. to pair in the backfield, they should have a nice two-headed attack.
Now that’s not to say that they will beat Notre Dame – clearly Notre Dame is still tough. However, they mostly stood pat with their offense – with the exception of the addition of Mylan Graham. Perhaps that makes sense with CJ Carr looking as good as he did last season, but I still don’t expect them to win this one by more than three touchdowns.
