Normally, on the rare week that the UFC goes dark, we still aren’t lacking any high-level MMA action. This week is a bit different, with the July 4th holiday next weekend shutting down the American MMA world. But we still have Europe. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: ARES FC 42, I’ve got a live dog in Friday’s main event. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: ARES FC 42
ARES FC 42: Zebo vs Fialho
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST (Friday)
We’re off to the Adidas Arena in Paris, France for our live dog this week, as France’s top MMA promotion, ARES FC, is in action there on Friday. And a former UFC fighter is fighting in the main event.
And I’m taking that former UFC fighter as an underdog play. Andre Fialho might have flunked out of the UFC and is on a bad run, but his experience level is light-years better than his opponent, ARES FC Welterweight Champion Jordan Zebo. Add in the fact that Fialho is a dangerous knockout artist, while Zebo has no finishing ability, and I think Fialho is worth a play at the number we’re getting him at.
