NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Thursday, May 28th

After a day off to catch our breath, the NBA playoff action is back again tomorrow in the West. And, luckily, I’m still up a good chunk of change for the season as well as the playoffs, because the past couple of weeks have been a slog. Here are your NBA Playoffs predictions and preview for Thursday, May 28th.

NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Thursday, May 28th

Oklahoma City Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

Hmm, did I overestimate the impact of the absence of Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell on the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder? While I only adjusted my line by a couple of points (both players missed significant time in the regular season, which already adjusted the numbers), the Thunder thumped the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5, moving them to one win away from the NBA Finals and a meeting with the New York Knicks.

I wouldn’t expect Williams or Mitchell back tomorrow when Game 6 goes down in San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center. But does it matter? If I did not adjust my calculations (aka both teams are healthy), my line would be San Antonio -1.5. So I’m thinking the Thunder, with their experience and depth, in a close-out game, is my play. Let’s take the champs plus the points tomorrow night on the road.

Best Bet: Oklahoma City +3.5 (-103)

2025/6 Overall Record: 215-174 (56%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $2,013.04
Return on Investment: 5%
