Cage Warriors Bantamweight Fight: Dylan Hazan vs Alexandros Moumtzis
Card Start Time: Saturday (4/11), 12:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Cage Warriors 204 in Rome, Italy features a lot of hometown talent. The Italians are out in full force, including one former prospect that has fallen on hard times a bit. Those hard times may be to our advantage though as he’s priced in a very nice spot for this weekend.
The prospect in question is Dylan Hazan. After being a consensus top prospect in Italy and one of the top in Europe, he’s now lost three of four fights. That 1-3 run has people doubting his skills, but there is really no reason to do that. In each of those losses, he showed what he was always great at – a will to move forward and a bulldog mentality in the grappling game. Knowing that those things are in tact, I like him to return to form here.
In addition to believing in his skills, I also think the books are overvaluing the undefeated record of Alexandros Moumtzis. He is 9-0, but has shown some chinks in the armor when it comes to his grappling. He often has a tough time getting off the cage when clinched and it’s an area that Hazan should be able to exploit.
