Daily NBA Player Props – December 31st
Jalen Smith – Over 11.5 Points (+104)
The Bulls are real banged up for New Year’s Eve. Both Josh Giddey and Colby White will be watching this one in street clothes thanks to their respective injuries. That means plenty of role players are going to have to step up if they’ll have any chance against the Pelicans. One that doesn’t even need to step up that much is Smith. He’s already been getting extra burn from the Bulls – playing 22 or more minutes in each of the last three games. With that much extra time, he’s cleared this projection in two of three games. Now he’ll likely log even more with Chicago hurting and should easily clear the mark.
OG Anunoby – Over 6.5 Rebounds (+115)
Speaking of banged up, the frontcourt of the Knicks isn’t looking much better than the backcourt of the Bulls. Both Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson will miss another game, which leaves things wide open for Anunoby to clean the glass. With both out of commission last game, he snagged 11 boards. With just Hart out of the way the game before, he managed 10. Golden State is in the bottom third of the league when it comes to rebounding percentage, which should set him up for an easy over.
Tim Hardaway Jr. – Over 15.5 Points (-106)
The final injury spot that we’re looking to exploit is the Nuggets missing Nikola Jokic. Against Toronto, they’ll be looking to account for his stats missing, and Hardaway might not even need to add that much to get there. In fact, he’s already cleared this projection in five straight games and is averaging 24.8 points per game in that span. Let him fire away here and he’s sure to walk with at least 16.
