My best play for UFC 322 was for a fight that fell through yesterday, so I’ve got to pivot. Luckily, I have winners for every fight on the card. That includes a lightweight main card fight between Beniel Dariush and Benoit Saint-Denis.
The Frenchman, BSD, is my pick to win this fight. Dariush is getting up there in years, and I have concerns over his durability at this point. That is even more the case now that he missed weight today. Fighters who miss weight historically do not perform well in fights, and this could indicate that Dariush is entering the fight with an injury and/or will be depleted from a poor weight cut.
I like Saint-Denis’s aggressive, dangerous style, both on the feet and on the mat, to carry the day tomorrow, making him my best bet for Saturday.
