While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we stay domestic for Fury FC 111 from Houston, TX for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Fury FC 111
Fury FC Featherweight Fight: Tony Toro vs Sean King
Card Start Time: Sunday (11/9), 2:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
The biggest banger on the Fury FC 111 main card just so happens to also have the closest line. Tony Toro and Sean King throw down in what should be a wild featherweight fight.
While the line is close, I favor Sean King by a wide margin. The 22-year old prospect gets a shot on the Fury FC main card for the first time in this one. However, his training has this as a long time coming. He’s been wrestling for years and it’s clear that his work with his hands is paying off. He fights long and has the perfect frame for it – at 6’0″. He should be able to use that with his ground game to protect all realms.
Although I like Tony Toro, his style isn’t built to beat a guy like this. He turns up the pressure and fires wildly to try to do damage. With a range discrepancy like this, he’s likely to come up short in a lot of those exchanges and could get countered fairly easily. In addition, even if he starts going with the hands, I think King is much sharper on the mat and can use that as plan B.
