A NFC battle takes place in Arizona for Week 3. The Detroit Lions are coming off a loss in Week 2 as a 7.5-point favorite at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Marvin Harrison Jr. had his coming out party in Week 2 against the Rams where he had 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns. An important matchup for both teams respectively to keep pace in their respective divisions. Below is my Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals Preview and Predictions.
The Lions have struggled on the offensive side of the football to start the season. In Week 2, the Lions only mustered up 16 points against the Buccaneers. As successful as the Lions were last season in the red zone, this season has been quite the contrary. However, there’s no reason to push the panic button if you’re a Lions bettor or fan.
Meanwhile, Kyler Murray is playing at an elite level for the Cardinals thus far. Murray continues to utilize his athleticism and ability to make plays with his legs. Week 2 was a classic example of what Murray can do with his legs. Marvin Harrison Jr. also has a great week for the Cardinals. This game will be a great test for both teams. Can the Cardinals ride the momentum of their Week 2 victory? Or will the Lions bounce back after taking a loss?
Lions at Cardinals Preview AND Predictions
Best Bets
Since the 2022 season, the Lions have been great in a bounce-back spot after a loss. The Lions are 9-4 SU and 9-4 ATS in that span after a loss. Furthermore, since the 2018 season, the Cardinals have not fared well in a home underdog role. The Cardinals are only 6-22 SU (21.4%) however are 16-13 ATS. The Cardinals have shown their ability to hang out around in games and get off to fast starts.
I do believe both offenses can find success in this game. I do expect Brian Johnson and the Lions offense to make the adjustments in the red zone. The Cardinals have scored at least 28 points in each of their first two games. This should be a barn burner in Arizona!
