The good news? My best bet heater has reached five days. The bad news? Unless something drastic happens while I’m writing this column, it’s going to be snapped on Saturday night. Back at it tomorrow, regardless. For my best bet for Sunday (Nov 8th): NHL Predictions, we’re headed to the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Let’s get this money!
Best Bet for Sunday (Nov 8th): NHL Predictions
Tampa Bay Lightning vs Winnipeg Jets
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST
Winnipeg in November – what could be nicer?! It’s going to be a balmy 45 degrees tomorrow when the Tampa Bay Lightning roll into town for the second night of a road back-to-back (they beat the Minnesota Wild in overtime on Saturday). Despite the short turnaround, there are levels to this game, and the Lightning are on a different one than the Jets.
Winnipeg has won back-to-back games, however, so there’s that. But, you see, the Jets can not score (24th in the NHL) nor can they keep the other team from scoring (26th in goals against). That doesn’t win you many hockey games. Tampa Bay, on the other hand, is in the top 10 in both categories.
No need to beat this one into the ground – Tampa Bay is the play. And with it being a road back-to-back, we’re getting a nice moneyline on them.
