College Football Pick Of The Day (November 5th): NCAA Week 10 Spread Pick
For today’s college football Week 10 pick of the day, I’m looking at the big Top-25 matchup between 10th-ranked Texas and 19th-ranked Missouri. Both teams are 6-2 and 3-2 in the SEC. Playoff implications are on the line, but the Tigers are home dogs.
Missouri is undefeated at home this season and has been strong in front of its home crowd under Eli Drinkwitz. They just rolled Arkansas 34-10 on the road, with Jamal Roberts leading a productive run game. Ahmad Hardy, last year’s leading rusher, is expected to pick up his workload even more this weekend, which could spell trouble for Texas.
Texas has the talent and a pair of recent wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Arch Manning has shown flashes. The Longhorns’ defense is really good, but that offense has remained inconsistent. Texas has also struggled against the spread (3-5).
Missouri has been the more consistent team and now has home-field advantage and a ground game to control the tempo. Texas is the higher-ranked team, but these SEC games stay tight well into the fourth quarter. I expect Missouri to make some magic and win this one.
The Pick: Missouri +2.5
