This week’s UFC Fight Night lost its main event when Sean Brady pulled out of his scheduled fight against Gabriel Bonfim, but it’s still a solid fight card, especially for one at the Meta APEX. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Vegas 124, I’ve got a fancy prop for the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs Walker (aka UFC Vegas 124)

Dana White’s Contender Series has been watered down to the point that it no longer reliably produces top-level MMA talent. However, that doesn’t mean it’s bereft of elite prospects. Flyweight Marcos Degli could prove to be an example of that, as he makes his UFC debut this Saturday.
Degli is bigger, younger, and more dangerous than his debut opponent Mitch Raposo, and it should be clear pretty early. The Brazilian is also a finisher, with 14 of his 15 pro wins coming inside the distance. That’s why I was happily surprised at the number we are getting for him for my prop of the week.
