Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 123
UFC Middleweight Fight: Nick Klein vs Joe Kropschot
Start Time: Saturday (10/31) 5:00pm EST (Paramount+)
UFC Vegas 123 has a pair of fighters on the prelims that will be making their respective debuts. Both have a lot of promise and both are in divisions in need of some fresh blood. The middleweight prospect comes to us from Dana White’s Contender Series – Joe Kropschot.
Kropschot brings a fun style from the LFA ranks. He is wildly strong for his size and brings a grind that most fighters are not prepared for. In his Contender Series fight, he dealt with a tough wrestler in Jon Kunneman and easily dragged him into deep waters. Unless you can match that strength or work well from the outside, Kropschot is a tough matchup for anyone.
Nick Klein is someone who is not built to beat the newcomer. In fact, Klein tends to lean into the style of fights that Kropschot excels in. He likes grappling exchanges and has half of his wins coming by submission. The problem is that he doesn’t have the physicality to hang in this fight, which should make it a tough one for him to win.
