MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 26th
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Tampa Bay Rays

After back-to-back YRFIs in Games 1 and 2, some might feel the desire to keep riding that wave. However, I think what we saw later in Game 2 is a better sign of things to come. In the first inning of the game, there were six runs scored on seven hits. In the final eight innings of the game, there were just 11 hits and only three runs scored. That is a lot more indicative of what we can expect in this one, and one of the main reasons I like the NRFI.
Another reason I like the NRFI here is the pitching matchup. Freddy Peralta will be first on the bump and he’s been sensational in the postseason. He’s logged 16.2 innings so far and allowed just two runs (a 1.08 ERA). He’s also giving up less than a hit per inning. His counterpart has also been sharp. Robert Gasser gets the ball with the Brewers looking to go up 3-0. In 9.0 innings of work, he’s allowed just a single run on six hits. He’s also only walked two batters for a 0.89 WHIP. Those arms should help get us to a clean first frame.
