Football Pick of the Day (October 17th): NFL Week 6 Spread Pick
Buffalo Bills vs Las Vegas Raiders
4:25pm – Sunday – October 18th
Both of these teams came flying out of the gates with 3-0 starts to the season. Since then, they have fallen off just a touch. The Bills dropped a tough game to the Patriots before just holding on for an overtime win over the Rams. The Raiders have, meanwhile, dropped back-to-back games against the Chiefs and the aforementioned Patriots.
The plummet for the Raiders seems far more significant. Not only did they lose both of the games, but we’ve seen cracks in their offense that are alarming. Ashton Jeanty has struggled on the ground as of late – even dating back to when they were winning. In their last four games, he has cracked 3.0 yards per carry just one time and he’s yet to break off a run of 20 yards on the season. That’s caused them to lean more and more on Kirk Cousins, which doesn’t seem like a winning move in 2026.
The Bills, on the other hand, are spreading out the offense and getting production from everywhere. Seven different players caught passes last week and nine did the same the week before. Last week, we saw two different players rush for over 100 yards – James Cook III and Josh Allen. With all of that production, it’s going to be hard for the Raiders to keep pace.
