Carolina Hurricanes vs Philadlephia Flyers

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes have burned me once this season already, when they were blanked on opening night by the Florida Panthers in overtime. I think I was also in on them when they lost in regulation to the Washington Capitals. So, third time’s the charm, right?!
If the 3-1-1 ‘Canes can’t beat the Philadlephia Flyers tomorrow, then they’ve got some serious work to do if they plan on lifting Lord Stanley’s Cup once again this season. The Flyers are lousy, going 0-4-2 thus far, including 0-1-1 at home, where this game is being played on Sunday night (Carolina is a perfect 2-0 on the road this season).
As if that isn’t enough reason to like the Hurricanes tomorrow, here’s one more – they’ve won seven of their last eight meetings with the Flyers. With the experts pegging Carolina as a 62% favorite to win tomorrow, and the moneyline being in that range, I’m taking the Hurricanes on the moneyline as my best bet to wrap up the weekend.
