After a UFC 332 fight card that grossly overperformed, the UFC (and us fans) hope for the same this weekend as they head back to the Meta APEX. Top middleweight contenders headline the fight card because the Meta APEX is all about the middleweights. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 122, I’ve got a live dog on the main card. MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 122
UFC Fight Night: Allen vs Duncan (aka UFC Vegas 122)
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
When we broke down the main card featherweight matchup between veterans Andre Fili and Kai Kamaka III on the MMA Gambling Podcast, my co-host just assumed that Kamaka was the favorite. The fact that we’re getting ‘The Fighting Hawaiian’ at dog money is a pleasant surprise.
Fili is looking really shopworn and has struggled recently. While KK doesn’t have any finishing ability, he is the much better striker in this matchup and should pepper Fili on the feet for the full 15 minutes before getting his hand raised.
