UFC 332 Lightweight Fight: King Green vs Esteban Ribovics
Start Time: 4:00pm EST (Paramount+)
On the main card in Salt Lake City, we have a lightweight fight that everybody has penciled in as an absolute banger. Both Esteban Ribovics and King Green love a scrap, so we’re going to look at the significant strikes to make some money.
We’ll start by putting Ribovics at 55+ significant strikes. He’s been over this modest number in four of his last five fights with the only exception being when he was repeatedly taken down by grappler Mateusz Gamrot. Three of the fights in that run saw him go to the judges’ scorecards. In those, he not only beat 55 significant strikes, but he doubled the number in each one.
On the other side, we’ll look to King Green, who is riding a four-fight win streak. In that streak, he has landed at least 50 significant strikes in all of them, except for one. The lone outlier was a one-round fight against Terrance McKinney last time out. Despite the fight lasting less than five minutes – and him being taken down – he still landed 43.
I expect this fight to get a little deeper. It should only need to get a touch into the second round for this one to cash.
