The calendar has flipped to October, and things are getting serious in College Football. Conference action is going strong, and teams are already trying to position themselves for the College Football Playoffs. Players are finding their groove, and so are we! Let’s stop by the CFB Prop Shop this week and find our favorite College Football player props for Week 5.
A few of the highlight games on the schedule include the Alabama Crimson Tide visiting the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the early window. Florida heads to Missouri for another big SEC matchup, in a game I have on upset watch. Ohio State heads to Kinnick Stadium to face the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten.
Jamal Roberts Over 94.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Missouri running back Jamal Roberts has been lights out on the ground in 2026 for the Tigers. The Senior from St. Louis, Missouri, had 125 yards on the ground against Kansas, and backed it up with another 128 against Troy. Last week in a tough loss at Mississippi State, Robert ground out another 95 yards, averaging 3.7 yards per carry against the Bulldogs.
Florida’s defense has held up pretty well against running backs thus far into the year. But Roberts is the first back they’ve seen that can run like this. Missouri needs to establish the run at home to win this game. Get Roberts going early, and often. That’s the key to a Tigers victory.
Jeremiah Smith Over 129.5 Receiving Yards (-101)
Jeremiah Smith is THAT DUDE. He’s an absolute superstar and arguably one of the best wide receivers to ever grace College Football. The Buckeye superstar is having a stellar season in 2026. Over four games, he has 617 receiving yards. Even against the now #1 Texas Longhorns on the road in a hostile environment, Smith stacked up 164 yards.
For as good as the Iowa Hawkeyes defense is, they just couldn’t slow down the Michigan Wolverines wide receivers. JJ Buchanan had 130 yards on five catches. Andrew Marsh added another 106 of his own. This will be a tough fight, and I believe a close game, but Smith is going to get his even in a tough environment against a good team.
Keelon Russell Over 259.5 Passing Yards (-116)
A 60.5 over/under on this Alabama vs. Mississippi State battle is attractive to the player prop market in this one. Keelon Russell has been a bit of a star through the first four games for the Crimson Tide. The Sophomore from Duncanville, Texas, has thrown for over 1,100 yards to kick the season off.
Last week, Austin Simmons threw for 295 yards for Missouri against the Bulldogs. For LaNorris Sellers of South Carolina, he was able to toss the pigskin for 282 yards in a close Week 3 match. Drake Lindsey for the Minnesota Golden Gophers put up 279 yards in Week 2. This game is set to be a shootout, and passing yards are what Russell has been doing best.
Michael Hawkins Jr. Over 83.5 Rushing Yards (-117)
The West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback has been an absolute stud with his legs in 2026. In four games, he’s already totaled up 425 yards on the ground and nine rushing touchdowns. In all four games, he’s had at least 96 rushing yards and at least one run of 21 or more yards, including a 71-yard dash against UT Martin.
Iowa State’s defense has given up some rushing performances this season too. Last week, Wayshawn Parker rushed for 174 yards as the Utah Utes ran all over the Cyclones. Iowa was able to run for over 100 yards on the day, and this defense hasn’t seen a rusher like Hawkins this year from the quarterback spot. Last year, Jeff Sims set an Arizona State record with 225 yards on the ground. That was the last time this team saw a rusher with that type of ability.
