After an explosive UFC 331 in Los Angeles last Saturday, the UFC is back to the cozy confines of the Meta APEX this weekend for a Fight Night card. Bantamweights take center stage this Saturday, with two 135-pounders making their UFC main event debuts. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Vegas 121, I’ve got a knockout prop from the prelims. MMA Prop Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 121
UFC Vegas 121: Rosas Jr. vs Barcelos
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
This is one of those prop plays that I was very pleasantly surprised to see the number the bookies have placed on it. Instead of the low 100s, we’re going to get +284 when Rodolfo Bellato knocks out Christian Edwards in the main event of Saturday’s prelims.
Bellato’s last three wins have come via TKO, so that’s a good start right there. He’s also a far better fighter and a far better striker than Edwards, with better top-level experience. I think Bellato keeps this fight standing and finishes the American via strikes (but I’ll also accept a ground-and-pound victory).
