Best Bet for Wednesday (Sept 23rd): MLB Predictions

Chicago White Sox vs Kansas City Royals

Start Time: 7:40 PM EST

Despite having a perennial MVP candidate playing for them in Bobby Witt Jr., the Kansas City Royals are not one of those aforementioned 17 teams still chasing a playoff spot. With a 67-89 record and a last-place spot in the American League Central division, the Royals will not be playing past this weekend.

However, their divisional rivals, the Chicago White Sox, will be completing their miraculous turnaround from a team that won 41 games two seasons ago to a team playing in the playoffs this year. The Sox are 80-76 and considered a lock to make the postseason. However, they are still a game behind the first-place Cleveland Guardians, so every game is crucial.

So I like Chicago to get the road win tomorrow against a Kansas City team that has nothing to play for and isn’t as good at this baseball thing. Plus, the Sox start Erick Fedde tomorrow, and he’s only allowed a total of three earned runs over his past three starts (15 innings).

Chicago, on the moneyline, is my best bet for Wednesday.
