John Harbaugh vs Sean McVay, and Jaxson Dart vs Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles will be missing some stars, but remain the heavy favorite. Kickoff for Monday Night Football is set for 8:15 PM ET on ABC/ESPN with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California will play host to this game. Los Angeles comes into this one 0-1, having lost in Australia last Thursday to their division rival San Francisco 49ers. Myles Garrett after the game was placed on IR after minor knee surgery. Puka Nacua is unlikely to play Monday night as he deals with a hip/groin injury. It does appear the team will have retired star defensive tackle Aaron Donald back. Donald will likely be on a snap count as he eases back in.

The New York Giants won their Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 1 at home over NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys. It was a great start to the John Harbaugh era in New York. The Giants three offensive stars, Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, and Malik Nabers all shined and looked like a great trio. Isiah Likely made himself look right at home as he came to New York with Harbaugh from Baltimore.

Monday Night Football Best Bets: New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams

Cam Skattebo Over 14.5 Receiving Yards (+105)

There were some questions about Cam Skattebo and the new coaching staff and how they’d mesh. We quickly got answers Sunday night as Skattebo carried the ball 18 times. While he didn’t have any catches against the Cowboys, that was seemingly just because they didn’t need to throw him the ball. This week against the Rams, it won’t be as easy for Skattebo to just run the ball.

They’ll want, and need to get him worked in though. If the running game isn’t as easy as last week, that’s where you get the ball in space to an explosive player like Skattebo. Skattebo was used plenty in the passing game last season where he had at least 14 receiving yards in five of his eight games.

Kyren Williams Over 62.5 Rushing Yards (-125)

Kyren Williams just continues to be a dog week in and week out on the ground for this Rams team. Last week against an incredibly tough 49ers defense Williams managed 41 yards on 11 runs. Going back to last year, Williams had at least 63 yards in five of the Rams last six games, and 13 times in the regular season in total. With Puka Nacua out of this game, I fully expect for the Rams to lean into the run game and try and force the ball down the throats of the New York Giants. That’ll start with Kyren Williams and getting him rolling early.

Malik Nabers Over 66.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Is Malik Nabers ready? Will it take him a while to get his legs back under him after coming back from injury? All of those questions quickly answered in Week 1 as the star wide receiver for the Giants got worked in early and often. Nabers was targeted nine times and caught the ball six times for a very nice 69 yards. We didn’t get to see much of Nabers last season, but what we got was extremely impressive. He had 167 yards against the Dallas Cowboys and 71 yards against the Washington Commanders. Jaxson Dart will continue to get the ball to his star playmaker Monday night. The Giants are touchdown underdogs in this one, meaning the game script should keep them throwing the ball.

New York Giants +7 (-118)

The Rams are a super team, right? They certainly didn’t look the part last week in Australia. After a ton of “research” their flight plans went terribly awry and the jet lag killed this team. They got embarrassed on the field. Then they had to take the long flight back home, and even though they’ve had the extra rest days, their body clocks are likely still not fully adjusted back.

They are getting too much respect for what they are “supposed” to be. Puka Nacua looks like he’ll miss, Myles Garrett is out, Donald will be limited. John Harbaugh is a good coach, and he’s got a great young team in the Giants. Can they beat the Rams? It’s to be seen, but they’ll keep this game close at least.
