College Football Week 2 Best Bets With VSIN’s Dustin Swedelson Recap

The College Football Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its 2026 season coverage with college football Week 2 best bets, a special crossover with VSiN’s Dustin Swedelson. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) hands over the guest chair to Dustin Swedelson (@dustinswedelson), host of Cashing Out, and the two run Dustin’s favorite plays across the Week 2 board. Can Kentucky stay inside the hook and cover at home against Alabama? Is Army worth laying the field goal against South Florida? Does Memphis at Boise State live up to its billing as the best game on the slate and stay under the total? Can Georgia Tech hang with Tennessee as a double-digit home dog? And is Utah the cleanest lay of the weekend against Arkansas?

Before the picks, the guys dig into what is actually wrong with college football right now, from super-conferences hoarding talent to soft non-conference scheduling and the transfer portal reshaping how you scout Group of Five quarterbacks. Then they work the marquee board together, from Oklahoma at Michigan to Ohio State at Texas, mixing sides, totals and team totals along the way. We talk it all and more on this episode of The College Football Experience.

College Football Week 2 Best Bets Start With A Scheduling Fight

The show opens with a fight, not a pick. Colby and Dustin spend the top of the episode on what is breaking college football. Their target is the super-conference era. Colby argues the Big Ten and SEC hoard programs and schedule soft. He thinks that hurts the sport as much as the portal does. Swedelson agrees the model is broken. So both want forced cross-conference matchups. They want the best teams to actually play in September. Then the cupcakes and the protected resumes go away.

Scouting Group Of Five Quarterbacks In The Portal Era

From there the talk turns to evaluation. Swedelson is a Valdosta State alum. He lives on the small-school board. He makes a sharp case about the transfer portal. To him, it has become an edge for mid-majors that scout well. The power programs keep missing on quarterbacks. So a veteran arm at the Group of Five level is underpriced. Then that same read shows up all over their Week 2 card.

The Marquee Board: Oklahoma-Michigan To Ohio State-Texas

Then they get to the board. Oklahoma at Michigan headlines the weekend. Both hosts lean under here. A low Michigan team total is also in play. Next comes South Florida at Army. Swedelson lays the field goal there. In Alabama at Kentucky, the Wildcats and the double-digit points are the play. They also tag Memphis at Boise State as the best game on the board. Both sides land on the under. From there they work Ohio State at Texas, Duke at Illinois, Cal at Syracuse and UNLV at North Texas.

The Best Bets

They close by stacking their favorites. Swedelson leans on the Kentucky points. He also takes Army laying the three. Then he grabs Syracuse laying a short number against Cal. He backs Georgia Tech and the double-digit points against Tennessee. Utah is the lay he keeps coming back to. Colby rides along on several of them. He also adds his own sides across the marquee slate. So it is a loaded Week 2, and both leave with a full ticket. Catch Swedelson weeknights on Cashing Out over at VSiN.
