The case on the show was that the market overreacted to Rutgers losing to UMass. It was one ugly game, and the guys made the point that teams tend to give their best effort right after getting embarrassed. Rutgers also gets the extra time to stew on it and should come out fired up.
On the other side, the guys were stunned Boston College was favored at all. On the show they pointed to the Eagles struggling at Cincinnati as underdogs, with Mason McKenzie leading the team in rushing and the offense giving up four sacks, eight tackles for loss, and three fumbles. The point was simple: you can’t lay points with this Boston College team, and three and a half felt like too much. They also flagged that some threes are still out there, so shopping for the best number on Rutgers matters.
