Cleveland Guardians vs Baltimore Orioles

Start Time: 6:35 PM EST

Two teams trying to sneak into the American League playoffs meet tomorrow for the last time this season as the Cleveland Guardians and the Baltimore Orioles finish their three-game series in Maryland after splitting the first two games. The Guardians are in much better shape in terms of playoff contention – right around a 45% chance at making it – while the Orioles’ hopes are on life support.

And I expect Cleveland to make a move to pull the plug on that life support tomorrow evening in Baltimore. This is one of the rare cases where the visitors are better on the road (38-33, eighth-best mark in the majors) than the home team is at home (35-39, seventh-worst in the majors).

Plus, the Guardians send Foster Griffin to the bump tomorrow, and they’ve won four of the past five games that the lefty has started, and Griffin has done his part by allowing three or fewer runs in all of those starts.

This all makes Cleveland on basically a pick ’em moneyline my best bet for Wednesday.
