Over the last week, Wyatt Langford has racked up eight hits and posted a .348 batting average in the process. While there has only been a couple of extra base hits in that stretch, there is a great matchup on Tuesday that gives me hope for more.
JT Ginn is on the bump for the Athletics and Langford has enjoyed that matchup in the past. They have faced 17 times with Langford going 8-for-16 with a walk. He’s homered off him in the past and racked up a 1.217 head-to-head OPS.

Seattle Mariners vs Boston Red Sox
Start Time: 6:45 PM EST
Speaking of head-to-head matchups that have gone well in the past, Adley Rutschman gets another crack at Bryan Woo on Tuesday. Over his career, he’s 4-for-9 against Woo with a pair of extra base hits. One of those hits is a dinger.
Rutschman maybe doesn’t have the numbers that instill confidence this season, but he did rack up a trio of hits against the Yankees on Saturday. He’s starting to find his rhythm at Fenway and with the monster right there, he could be in business for a long ball here.
