Peter Bukowski showed up for the 2026 Green Bay Packers preview ready to make the rest of the NFC uncomfortable.
Bukowski, Co-Founder of The Leap and host of Locked On Packers and Locked on Sports Today, believes the Packers have one of the highest ceilings in the NFC. His basic thesis: everyone remembers how 2025 ended, but not enough people remember how dangerous Green Bay looked before seemingly half the roster required medical attention.
And if they stay healthy?
Things get spicy.
Jordan Love could enter the league’s top-quarterback conversation. Christian Watson could finally receive the target volume his talent has been begging for. Matthew Golden has a path to a major breakout. And Bukowski is especially excited about Tucker Kraft, whom he compares favorably to George Kittle and believes could become one of the focal points of the offense.
Smalls is particularly high on Christian Watson this season. She already likes Watson’s receiving-yardage over and has sprinkled long odds on him leading the NFL in receiving yards.
The betting market gets plenty of attention too. Green Bay’s win total sits at 9.5 in the episode, and neither Smalls nor Bukowski understands why the number isn’t higher. Bukowski sees an 11 or 12-win team, likes Green Bay to reclaim the NFC North and even sees a plausible Jordan Love MVP path.
So yes, this Packers preview is bullish.
Disgustingly bullish.
Chicago listeners have been warned.
