Atlanta Braves vs Minnesota Twins
Start Time: 7:40 PM EST
After taking care of the Arizona Diamondbacks at home in Hotlanta, the Atlanta Braves head to the Twin Cities tomorrow for a three-game interleague series against the Minnesota Twins. The Twins are sinking, dropping three straight games and four of their last five.
Additionally, the Braves have a better road record (32-27) than the Twins’ home record (32-31), so the home field should not be an advantage for Minnesota tomorrow. Not that Atlanta needs another advantage in this matchup, as they are the superior team regardless of where the game is played – advanced stats rate the Braves as 1.4 runs per game better than the Twins.
If all of that isn’t enough to tip the scales in Atlanta’s favor, I also think they have the starting-pitching advantage on Monday night, running Martin Perez up against Bailey Ober. Former All-Star Perez hasn’t allowed an earned run over his past three starts (16 innings) while Ober has been rocked for eight earned runs over his last 12 innings.
Despite all of this, we’re getting a nice line on the Braves. All this makes Atlanta, on the moneyline, my best bet for Monday.
