Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays

I’ve got three modest plays for Monday – no big swings, but it’ll still be nice payouts when they cash. We’ll start with the Boston Red Sox’s Wilyer Abreu, who has five homers over his past 10 games.

Abreu faces the Toronto Blue Jays’ Jameson Taillon tomorrow, making his second start for his new team. Taillon has allowed the third most homers (tied – 26) in the majors this season – good news for our bet.

Tampa Bay Rays vs Athletics

Start Time: 9:40 PM EST

The Tampa Bay Rays’ Junior Caminero is also swinging a hot bat, with four dingers over his last 10. The 23-year-old third baseman continues to prove that last season wasn’t a fluke, when he hit 45 homers. He’s up to 33 this season, tied for second-best in the majors.

The Athletics are hardly a major league baseball team, playing in a minor league baseball stadium. Caminero should be able to feast on them tomorrow.
