Los Angeles Sparks vs Minnesota Lynx
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
The best team in the WNBA is, of course, the Minnesota Lynx, holders of a league-best 25-6 record, as well as a league-best advanced stats rating of 8.14 points per game better than the “average” team. The Lynx, however, are not the holders of the league’s best home record, as their 12-4 mark at the Target Center is bested by the Golden State Valkyries’ 13-4 record on their home floor. Second-best will have to do, for now.
This all adds up to bad news for the visiting Los Angeles Sparks tomorrow night. The 11-17 Sparks are not a good basketball team (newsflash), especially now that they’ve traded away their best player, Kelsey Plum. Los Angeles did steal a road win in Portland last time out, but had dropped six straight games heading into that matchup.
So the Lynx are going to win tomorrow night, that I’m sure of. I’m also fairly certain they are going to cover the wide spread for the game. My line is Minnesota -17.5, making the Lynx on the spread my best bet for Thursday.
