Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers

We’ve got some American League Central action going down tomorrow in Motown, with the division’s two worst teams, the last-place Kansas City Royals visiting the fourth-place Detroit Tigers. The Tigers hold a 4-2 series lead this season over the Royals as they kick off another four-game set tomorrow.
And this game looks all Detroit to me. Not only are the Tigers a better team than the Royals this season, in terms of win-loss record, advanced stats, plus head-to-head, but they are also playing at home on Thursday, where they are 27-23 while the Royals are an abysmal 17-33 playing away from Kansas City this season, the third-worst road mark in the majors.
It also helps that Troy Melton is starting on the bump for the home side tomorrow. The 25-year-old righty has been lights out this season for the Tigers, and has allowed a total of three earned runs over his past five starts (29.1 innings).
The Detroit Tigers on the moneyline is my best bet for Thursday.
